What are the accommodations?

You and your family will be provided a private room and a private bathroom, including a private shower area. You will need to bring your own bed linens, sleeping bags, pillows, towels, and toiletries.

Should we be prepared to provide our own meals?

Meals are a cooperative effort at the camp:

• Breakfast: Families are responsible for providing their own breakfast.
• Lunch: Provided as part of our daily activities. Each day, one family will be assigned to prepare and provide lunch for the entire camp.
• Supper: Provided directly by MFC.

What materials will I need to bring?

The only required item is your King James Bible. Beyond that, please feel free to bring anything you would reasonably expect to pack and bring with you to the mission field.

Will there be hands-on activities?

Yes. The camp schedule is divided equally between hands-on ministry activities and classroom instruction.

Does MFC include physical activities such as hiking or survival skills?

No. While these skills are valuable for certain fields, our focus is strictly on practical ministry experiences and biblical preparation.

Will I be preaching or teaching during the week?

Yes. There will be several opportunities for you to deliver messages throughout the week. Notably, on Wednesday night, you will be responsible for conducting a complete church service from start to finish—including the welcome, congregational music, special music coordination, offering, preaching, and the invitation. You will manage every component of a standard worship service.

Are participants required to be at MFC the entire week?

Yes. While participants are warmly invited to attend our standard church services on Sunday evening, Sunday is optional. The mandatory portion of the week begins Monday morning with unpacking and settling into your living quarters. Official MFC activities run from Monday at 2:00 PM through Friday at 3:00 PM, and full attendance is required during these times.

Is it required for my wife and family to attend?

Yes. All members of your family whom you anticipate will be joining you on your field of service are required to attend.

Will there be classes specifically designed for men, women, and children?

Yes. While the entire family will attend many of our sessions together, some classes will be separated by gender, and specific classes will be held for the children.

Will a nursery be provided for young children?

No. Our intent is to replicate life on the mission field as closely as possible, and on most fields, a nursery is not initially available. Instead, there will be structured activities for the children to help them prepare for the mission field alongside their parents.
